The Foundation of Light is seeking to recruit a highly motivated qualified Primary teacher to fulfil the exciting role of Primary Education Officer as part of the Football in the Community team.
The successful candidate will deliver innovative programmes across Key Stage 1 and 2, using the power of football and sport to engage Primary aged children. This will include delivering both whole class and intervention programmes focusing on Maths, Literacy, Enterprise and PSHE.

Catering Manager (full time)
The Foundation of Light is seeking to recruit a dynamic and experienced individual to fulfil the exciting role of Catering Manager.
The Catering Manager role is responsible for three key areas of the Beacon of Light catering operation; café management, vending and event catering, ensuring effective planning and coordination across these areas, delivering the highest level of service and customer satisfaction.
The ideal candidate has a passion for food, excellent organisational skills, and a proven track record in catering management. They will have a sound knowledge of industry standards, management of stock control, supplier negotiations and café budgets.

Catering Assistant (casual contract)
The Foundation of Light is seeking to recruit a customer service focused, experienced Catering Assistant to join our team at the Beacon of Light.
Our Catering Assistants work across Beacon of Light events, catering services, and vending, providing an outstanding level of customer service to our ranging customer and user groups, supporting the Catering Manager with all food and drink provision.
The successful candidate will be the face of the Beacon of Light, acting as an ambassador of the Foundation of Light, contributing to the success of our social enterprise service.

Teaching Assistant – 9-month placement through NCS Year of Service (15th April 2024 -15th January 2025)
To support post-16 students in the classroom, by working collaboratively with teaching staff to delivering engaging lessons.
To ensure all students receive a high-quality curriculum by promoting the ethos, culture and vision of this unique intervention programme.
Duties will include opportunities to develop essential skills, such as, supporting, encouraging, and motivating others; providing peer support to participants, to help engage and retain participants.
Develop relationships and partnership building skills; working with a variety of partners and to come up with ideas for new connections to other likeminded organisations.
This role is funded through UK Year of Service in partnership with NCS and the EFL Trust. UK Year of Service placements offer paid work that pays back. By joining this programme, you’ll become part of a member network across the country; all working to gain experience, develop skills and deliver a positive social impact.
