Book Now: Next Evening and Weekend courses starting March

Foundation of Light Evening and Weekend courses are available to book for the new term.

Starting Monday 3 March, these sessions are designed for children of all abilities to develop their skills in a fun, supportive, and safe environment led by UEFA and FA-qualified coaches.

On top of this, there is a special opportunity for those who book early for this round of holiday courses.

Exclusive Prize Draw Opportunity

Everyone who books a session will automatically be entered into an exciting prize draw. The lucky winner will get the chance to take a penalty against Samson the Cat during half-time at the Stadium of Light on Foundation of Light matchday – an unforgettable experience for any young SAFC supporter.

Activities take place at the Beacon of Light as well as some other venues within Sunderland and in County Durham at Wheatley Hill and Quaking Houses.

Here are some of the sessions available:

1:1 Coaching - Receive specialist training delivered by our UEFA and FA-qualified coaches, aimed at developing specific parts of your game.

Little Dribblers/Little Dribblers with parents - Give your child a chance to take to the pitch for the first time. Our coaches will help your child learn the basics whilst also having fun.

Wildcats – Inspired by the Lionesses? Our Wildcats sessions provide a great opportunity for girls to try football and improve their skills.

Skills Centre (5-7 years and 8-14 years) – Enjoy a session for all abilities with skill-specific drills and practices from our UEFA and FA-qualified coaches.

Soccer Saturday and Super Sunday (5-7 years and 8-14 years) – Perfect for those aged 5-11, not currently playing for a team and looking to develop their football skills in a safe and fun environment.

Cage Football – A session consisting of small-sided games where the ball doesn’t go out, with quick decision-making, lots of touches on the ball, brilliant for player development!

Evening and weekend courses are available to book now with prices from £14 per block booking (£2 per session).
