Foundation in Primary Stars spotlight

The Foundation of Light hosted an online conference on behalf of Premier League Communities, to discuss how the football club’s official charity had responded to the COVID-19 pandemic. Our Primary Stars Coordinator, Danielle Chapman was one of three speakers chosen from 115, to discuss how the Foundation had continued delivering programmes throughout lockdown. Over 125 people joined the virtual conference, where Danielle explained how our learners continued to access education while staying safe at home. The Foundation provided support to primary schools in the form of PE and PSHE packs, with close to 8,000 pupils benefitting from the resource. Danielle also launched a transition workshop during lockdown; the Stepping Up session gave any year 6 pupils with worries about making the move to secondary school a forum to discuss their concerns.
