Wear Together
Wear Together is a programme of weekly activities aimed at over-55s, designed to increase social activity and reconnect people through the power of Sunderland AFC.
Sessions include Chit and Chat, a social session which is free to attend on Tuesdays between 2-3pm, and the Coffee Morning, £2 to take part between 10am-12pm on Wednesdays featuring more activities such as bingo and quizzes.
Walking Football
With the help of Change the Game, Foundation of Light runs a Wear Together mixed walking football session. The over 55s session takes place from 10-11am every Tuesday on the Beacon’s indoor rooftop pitch and costs just £1 per session to take part.
Strength and Balance
In partnership with Sunderland City Council, the Foundation runs free 14-week Strength and Balance programmes across the Sunderland North area at multiple venues. The programme is aimed at over 55's looking to increase their strength and improve their balance.
