Foundation to host volunteers fair at Beacon of Light

Foundation of Light is offering community volunteers the chance to be part of the award-winning charity when it moves into the North East's newest world-class sports, events and education venue. Sunderland AFC's official charity will be hosting a recruitment fair to showcase the various volunteering opportunities available when the Beacon of Light opens its doors to the public. Taking place on Wednesday 30th May, 1pm-3pm, the fair is a great way of meeting the Foundation of Light team face-to-face who will be offering roles within the Sport and Play, World of Work, Health and Wellbeing and Education zones as well as in the Events department and front of house positions. Attendees can also discover more about the Foundation's Business Administration Apprenticeships which are a great way for school leavers to gain qualifications and vital experience in a real-life working environment.

The Volunteers Fair is a perfect chance for people to discover more about Foundation of Light and the work we do. There will be wide range of opportunities to explore, whether you are looking to gain experience and qualifications, or just want to support your local community.

The Foundation of Light Volunteers Fair is FREE to people of all ages. There is no need to sign up, just come along on the day. Inclusive and easily accessible, the Beacon of Light, which will be the Foundation's new home, will welcome more than 6,000 people a week and act as a community hub for everyone to take part in exciting programmes to improve their lives.
