Former Lioness Jill Scott is challenging supporters to take on the Foundation of Light’s 25 Peaks in 25 Hours challenge.
We’re delighted to launch matchday kickabout which will give younger fans the chance to show off their skills and enjoy playing football in the fantastic setting of the Beacon of Light before watching their heroes in action. All abilities are welcome at Matchday Kickabout, the focus is on having fun, and our expert coaches will ensure that every player gets the chance to shine.
Neil Couling, Beacon of Light's Programming and Marketing ManagerThe first Matchday Kickabout will be held before SAFC's League One match v Southend United on Saturday 27th October in the Beacon's 4G rooftop football barn costing JUST £3 per child. There's no need to pre-book, just TURN UP AND PLAY! The Beacon of Light houses a 4G football barn, capable of hosting 7-a-side and 5-a-side games, six outdoor 5-a-side pitches, a versatile indoor arena which can also host national sporting competitions, exhibitions and events, and a suite of classrooms, offices and informal learning spaces. The Beacon is also a home for Foundation of Light, generating vital funds which will be reinvested back in to the community through the charity’s award-winning programmes.
