Foundation of Light is teaming up with Men's Pie Club to bring a new weekly group to the Beacon of Light, creating a relaxed space where men can connect, make pies and enjoy good conversation.
The Foundation of Light carry out a vast amount of work within our community and assist people of all ages. People are going through tough times at the moment and the Foundation continues to be there for people who need it the most
Roger Thompson, Store ManagerThe donation will provide 20 businesses, grassroots clubs or individuals with workshop sessions and a toolkit, on how to improve and spread mental health awareness. Since lockdown in March 2020, the Foundation of Light have delivered 1,500 food and care packages to those self-isolating and provided activity packs to keep them engaged during lockdown, created 15 new online programmes, to support those on furlough or have recently been made unemployed, over 8,500 people engaged in weekly fitness challenges on YouTube. Sainsbury’s North will continue to support the Foundation of Light in 2021 as it celebrates its 20th birthday.
