Stagecoach backs Foundation of Light Family Fun Day to help Sunderland families make the most of summer

Foundation of Light are delighted to welcome Stagecoach as principal sponsor of the 25^th anniversary Family Fun Day, helping hundreds of families enjoy an unforgettable day of fun while supporting the charity’s life-changing work across Sunderland and the wider region.

Returning to the Beacon of Light on Thursday 13 August, this year’s Family Fun Day promises more activities than ever before, with football, multi-sports, arts and crafts, family fitness, inflatables, gaming, and much more.

Stagecoach’s support comes during a landmark summer for family travel in the North East, with children aged five to 15 able to travel free on local bus services throughout August, helping families make the most of the school holidays while encouraging more sustainable travel.

Stagecoach is also promoting its popular Take the Kids for Free offer, which allows up to three children aged 11 and under to travel free with every fare-paying adult or concessionary pass holder, making family days out even more affordable beyond the free travel initiative.

The Family Fun Day will feature football activities, multi-sports, arts and crafts, family fitness sessions, inflatable attractions, gaming, face painting, activity trails and inclusive activities for all ages and abilities.

Entry costs just £2.50 per person as a donation to Foundation of Light, with a family ticket available for £8 covering two adults and two children. Every ticket sold helps support the Foundation's work improving the lives of thousands of people across Sunderland and the wider region.

Families can travel to the Beacon of Light using the regular Stagecoach bus services serving Stadium Park, making it easy to enjoy a fun-filled day while leaving the car at home.
