Sunderland AFC will kick off their 2022-23 Sky Bet Championship campaign at the Stadium of Light as they host Coventry City on the opening weekend of the season.
The Black Cats will go head-to-head with the Sky Blues on Sunday 31 July at 12 noon.
Alex Neil’s men head to the South West to face Bristol City on Saturday 6 August, before welcoming Queens Park Rangers to Wearside the following weekend.
The lads face trips to Sheffield United and Stoke City respectively before seeing out the month on home soil with fixtures against Norwich City and Rotherham United.
Boxing Day football returns to SR5 for the first time since 2019 as Blackburn Rovers visit the North East. New Year's Day will see Sunderland go up against Blackpool at Bloomfield Road - a repeat of the 2018-19 season.
Sunderland's penultimate game of the season will see them welcome Watford to the Stadium of Light on Saturday 29 April, before concluding the season with a visit to Lancashire with Preston North End the opponents.
