Walking Football offers a wide range of benefits for a variety of people. Whether you're looking to keep active, stay fit, or widen your circle of friends, Walking Football offers the perfect opportunity to do just that.
Ken Riley, Sport Development OfficerThere are many psychological and mental health advantages to playing walking football – namely high levels of personal reward and satisfaction with reduced levels of stress and exertion while playing, despite working physically hard. As well as being able to increase fitness levels, emotional health gets a great boost too for a person involved in Walking Football, not least self-confidence and self-esteem. Sessions will take place on the Beacon of Light's 3G outdoor pitches starting on Thursday 25th October (11am-12pm) and will be delivered by Foundation of Light's expert coaches. The first session is FREE for new players (then costing just £2.50 each week) and there is no need to pre-book, simply TURN UP AND PLAY.
