Wear 25: Coral Kelly recognised for dedication on and off the football pitch

Foundation of Light has recognised Coral Kelly as one of our Wear 25 winners for her dedication and hard work, both on and off the football pitch.

Coral is part of the Foundation’s Female Player Pathway, playing in the invite-only Player Development Centre (PDC).

Her development within the group has been outstanding. Coral would sometimes struggle to come into sessions as nerves would take over.

Foundation of Light coaches took the time to support her, speaking with Coral after sessions to better understand her concerns and reassure her of her progress and ability.

Coral now understands that the coaches can see how hard she works, and after recently bouncing back from an injury, she is thriving - not only in her football, but also stepping into a supportive role, helping new players feel welcome and comfortable within the group.

Away from the pitch, Coral has also been competing in pageants. In March, she was crowned Miss Pre-Teen Galaxy UK, one of the country’s largest pageants. She is set to travel to Texas in August to compete internationally. As part of her campaign, Coral is promoting charity work and striving to make a positive difference.

Her campaign focuses on making football more inclusive and accessible across the North East, an issue close to her heart.

Coral’s story stands out for her resilience, personal growth, and ability to balance multiple commitments, all while raising awareness and funds for charity.
