North East Parkies United reflect on cup triumph at St George’s Park
North East Parkies United players are ‘bursting with pride’ after winning the Cure Parkinson’s Cup at St George’s Park.
The International Cycle Challenge is the high point of our fundraising calendar and we’re delighted to announce next year’s route from Dubrovnik to Split. We’re very proud to announce yet another new destination and the scenery looks fantastic. I’d like to mention a huge thank you to event sponsors Grafton Group plc and OSE European, who make this event possible every year.
Jemma Garrett, Foundation of Light Events ManagerCommenting on why Grafton Group plc have sponsored the event for seven years running, Gavin Slark, Chief Executive Officer added: “I think (it’s) the fact that the Foundation does so much brilliant work in the local community and also the fact that all the people that have done the ride over the last seven years, we’ve created our own little cycling community that really is very special to the Foundation.” To take part in the event cyclists are asked to pay a non-returnable £250 deposit and raised a further £1,400. The event is strictly limited to 40 places allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. If you missed out on the Croatian Coastal Cycle Challenge information evening, the details and route can be viewed here.
