Wear 25: Coral Kelly recognised for dedication on and off the football pitch
Foundation of Light has recognised Coral Kelly as one of our Wear 25 winners for her dedication and hard work, both on and off the football pitch.
The Foundation of Light’s Female Player Pathway has received more national squad recognition with several players called up for the England Schoolgirls’ U15 North squad.
Ava McAnulty, Lilly Williamson, and Saisha Snowden of the Sunderland AFC Girls’ Academy and Amy Colligan of the Emerging Talent Centre (ETC) have been called up to their regional squad as part of the England U15 Schoolgirls’ trials.
Their success follows a flurry of good news the Foundation of Light’s Female Player Pathway, after the heavy involvement of former players in Sunderland AFC Women’s 2-1 League Cup victory over Sheffield United and the call-up of former Regional Talent Club (RTC) star Emily Cassap for England U17.
The young stars will be looking to follow in the footsteps of Emily, who also represented England Schoolgirls and now turns out for Sunderland AFC Women, and other former Foundation of Light players such as Steph Houghton, Jill Scott, and Lucy Bronze.
The regional squads form the second stage of the England Schoolgirls’ trials and all at the Foundation are wishing Amy, Ava, Lily, and Saisha the best of luck in making the final squad.
