Black Cats duo make young fan's dream come true
Sunderland AFC supporter Toby Patterson received a surprise he will never forget when Dan Ballard and Trai Hume revealed he would be a mascot for Saturday’s clash with Brighton.
Foundation of Light is helping youngsters spring into action throughout the upcoming Easter holidays as our ever-popular holiday courses return.
The fortnight of fun starts at the Beacon of Light from Monday 14 April, with activities for any child no matter their ability or interests.
Our holiday courses provide a safe environment for children to stay active and socialise during school holidays.
Sessions are also taking place further afield in Kirkby Stephen, Beamish, Boldon, and Wellfield as well as other venues within Sunderland.
As well as football sessions for all kinds of players, from those starting their footballing journeys to the ones refining their skills, we are also hosting baking classes, beauty and skincare, and the multi-activity Holiday Club.

Here’s some of our egg-cellent lineup this Easter:
Multi-activities, including arts and crafts, baking, and board games, for 11-16 year olds with special educational needs and disabilities.
With sessions for 5–9-year-olds and children aged 10+, our baking sessions are a great introduction to kitchen techniques in a safe environment.
As well as our 3-day football camps for all abilities between ages 5-14, there are also opportunities to book one-to-one coaching or take part in one of our ‘Train Like a Pro’ days featuring high-level drills and strength and conditioning.
Every day at Holiday Club is different. Participants will take place in a range of activities, from multi-sport to arts and crafts or films and fancy dress.
And much more…
This is just a snapshot of our holiday courses. To see all of our Easter activity, or to make a booking online, head to our booking website:
