In the last 18 years we have won a lot of awards but to be recognised within football as well as community is very special for me personally. Foundation of Light Chair of Trustees, Sir Bob Murray CBELast week, the Foundation launched a special match day campaign which aims to raise £30,000 to reduce social isolation in the North East. ‘Give a Quid for Social Isolation’ aims to help people access activities that reduce loneliness and improve physical and mental health, and will culminate in a dedicated SAFC match on 14th December, when the Lads play Blackpool in Sky Bet League One.
