Strength and Balance Activities
In partnership with Sunderland City Council and Public Health and Voluntary Organisations, the Foundation has introduced a Strength and Balance programme.
Aimed at helping improve balance, strength, stamina and flexibility, the 14-week long classes offer one hour of physical activity and 30 minutes discussion to those aged 55 and over.
The free sessions, hosted by qualified staff, take place at various venues across Sunderland, including the Stadium of Light and offer participants the opportunity to enjoying building their strength in a safe environment and the option to progress to other activities.
