Beacon of Light welcomes Siblings Nursery

Sunderland Nursery School of the Year nominee Siblings Nursery is to open a new setting at the Beacon of Light this summer. Siblings, which is based at the North East Business Innovation Centre in Sunderland, will expand into a second site within the world-class community facility which is due to open within the coming months. The purposely designed childcare and education facility will feature a cosy baby area for babies and toddlers under 18 months,  a spacious, well resourced playroom where older children can explore and engage with others and be supported by well trained staff and an enclosed outdoor area where children can learn, play and have fun. Siblings is a warm, welcoming and safe environment with a supportive team of infant professionals and childcare workers, catering for 25 children up to five years old.  

We are delighted to partner with the Beacon of Light to provide childcare for the venue's customers, staff and for families in the local area. Based at Stadium Park, the nursery is ideally situated for people travelling in and out of Sunderland. It is a privilege to be working alongside the Foundation of Light and we can’t wait to get started.

Founded in 1994, the current nursery at the North East Business Innovation Centre has been nominated for the Sunderland Echo's Nursery School of the Year for its '5 Star' service and providing care that is 'second to none'. Phil King, General Manager at the Beacon of Light, added: "The Beacon of Light is a world-class facility for the region, and having Siblings Nursery involved is a fantastic way to give access to families and the youngest members of our community. "We are delighted to have Joanne and her team on board as partners, and look forward to a long and beneficial relationship for both parties." Once the nursery opens, it will be open from 7 am to 6pm from Monday to Friday for 51 weeks a year, only closing on Bank Holidays and for a week at Christmas.
