Round-Up: SAFC and Foundation unite for Mental Health Awareness
Foundation of Light united with Sunderland AFC to promote Mental Health Awareness during Tuesday night’s match against Derby County.
Foundation of Light has a fang-tastic lineup of holiday courses for youngsters to get their teeth into this October half-term.
The latest round of holiday courses includes a Creepy Cook Off, Halloween Little Dribblers Big Day Out, and a Female Talent ID session at Ford Hub.
Regular holiday course fixtures such as the varied football courses for all abilities, the multi-activity Holiday Club, and Disability Football and Multi-sports all return for the first half-term of the new school year.
Also returning is Beauty at the Beacon, after a successful introduction in the summer, helping children to explore the world of beauty and self-care in a safe and friendly environment.
Take a look at some of October’s line-up below:
Disability Multi-sports – Enjoy a range of sports including basketball, boxing, hockey, cricket, football and many more.
Halloween Baking – With sessions for children aged 5-9 and 10+, they will learn new tricks to make some treats in the Beacon of Light's fully equipped Ministry of Food kitchen.
Holiday Club – Every day at Holiday Club is different. Participants enjoy a range of activities from multi-sport to arts and crafts.
Halloween Little Dribblers Big Day Out – An hour of football coaching to refine your little one’s movement skills, followed by a Stadium of Light ghost hunt tour. Feel free to dress up for Halloween.
Football Courses – We have various football courses, offering something for every child, from those starting their footballing journeys to the ones trying to refine their skills further. Our football courses are based in Sunderland at the Beacon of Light, Ford Hub, and Bede College with some delivery further afield in Wellfield and Beamish.
Foundation of Light holiday courses are a great way to keep your child active and safe outside of school term time, with trained professionals overseeing all activities.
All proceeds made from holiday courses go straight back into Sunderland AFC’s official charity, supporting our delivery of the Wear One campaign.
