Foundation footballers star in back to school campaign

North East-based football price comparison brand FOOTY.COM have recruited a team of young footballing wonderkids to recreate iconic moments from footballing history in their latest back to school campaign.

The team of 10-year-olds, who represent Foundation of Light's Regional Talent Club girls and FCC boys, were recruited to recreate some of footballing history's greatest and funniest moments, from Gazza’s notorious dentist's chair celebration to Peter Crouch’s robot, despite having never acted before.

The campaign, which aims to demonstrate to parents that back to school shopping doesn’t have to cost a lot, opens with the schoolchildren enduring a dull science lesson being taught by YouTube star and Jaackmaate’s Happy Hour podcast co-host, Robbie Knox. At the school bell, the kids then burst out of the classroom, down the corridor and onto the school field to recreate iconic moments from some of their footballing heroes.

Sam Patterson, Marketing Director at FOOTY.COM said: “The goal of FOOTY.COM is to save our customers money on and off the pitch and that’s becoming even more important during the cost of the living crisis which is hitting some families.

“By comparing prices on sportswear products we aim to help shoppers save money by finding them the best deals, even on the latest season's football boots, kits and trainers, which we know a lot of kids want to get their hands on.

“We’re thrilled with our back to school campaign. They're some hilarious moments and the children from Sunderland's Foundation of Light were absolute naturals on camera.”

FOOTY.COM was founded with the sole purpose of making the game more affordable, allowing football lovers to search, compare and save money on products from the world’s leading sportswear brands and retailers.
