Foundation of Light has relaunched a weekly Walking Football session for people living with neurological conditions with the support of Parkinson’s UK.
Our Parkinson’s UK Walking Football sessions return from Tuesday 16 January 2024, and will run weekly from 12pm-1pm.
Alongside the session, participants will have the option to also take part in a 30-minute chit and chat session in the Beacon of Light café.
Walking Football is a healthy activity for people living with neurological condition to keep active. Regular exercise has many benefits for those with a neurological condition, as it helps nerve impulses travel faster to the brain, increases focus, and can improve balance, strength, suppleness, and mobility.
The session is also a great opportunity to socialise, with a chit and chat social group following immediately afterwards.
Take part for £3 per session and feel free to bring along a friend or carer free of charge. For any further enquiries, feel free to contact Jade at: Jade.Gilbertson@foundationoflight.co.uk or call 0191 5634 749
