Win SAFC tickets and support Foundation of Light with Linthorpe Beds!
Linthorpe Beds are giving Sunderland AFC supporters the chance to win Premier League match tickets while fundraising for Foundation of Light.
Foundation of Light hosted the Utilita Football Festival, the latest edition of its annual summer fun day.
A highlight of Sunderland AFC official charity’s summer delivery, 1,600 took part in a day of free family activities at the Beacon of Light - from cupcake decorating to football.
The day was delivered in partnership with Sunderland AFC partners Utilita and the EFL. Supporters had the chance to take their photo with Sunderland AFC’s EFL Championship play-off final trophy.
Recently appointed Sunderland AFC coaches, Luciano Vulcano and Isidre Ramon Madir, called by the Beacon of Light to engage with supporters, as well as Black Cats mascot Samson.
“It was a great event, to see the kids enjoying the activities and a chance to meet the fans,” said SAFC assistant head coach Vulcano on his visit to the fun day.
“The atmosphere was amazing. It was really enjoyable to be here.”
Assistant coach, Ramon Madir added: “Yeah, it was just amazing to see so many fans, the facilities they have here for the kids. It was a special day.”
Foundation of Light hosts holiday courses throughout the summer to tackle social isolation in children who are away from school friends and taken from their daily routines.
The annual summer fun days are a free event offering families across Sunderland a chance to get out of the house, have fun, and take part in physical activities.
Foundation of Light managing director Jamie Wright said: “We are incredibly grateful to everyone for coming along and taking part.
“We hope families got the chance to see the wide range of activities that they can take part in at the Beacon of Light all year round.”
