Olivier Award-winning West End star Ryan Molloy will headline Foundation of Light’s Gala Awards Dinner, bringing his sell out show ‘Frankie & The Dreamers’ to Sunderland.
Taking place on Friday 10 October at the Beacon of Light, the Gala Awards Dinner is the highlight of the Foundation’s calendar as they celebrate the remarkable achievements and inspiring stories of those whose lives have been transformed through the charity’s programmes.
Originally from the North East, Molloy shot to fame when he was hand-picked by the real Frankie Valli to portray him in the internationally acclaimed hit musical Jersey Boys.
Now, with his band Frankie & The Dreamers, he returns to the region to provide the finale to the evening by performing a catalogue of hits from The Four Seasons and Frankie Valli.
Speaking about the event, Molloy said: “I’m thrilled to be part of such a special night and can’t wait to bring some of the finest voices the West End has to offer to Sunderland.
“Having grown up in the North East, it’s a real honour to headline an evening in support of a charity that does such incredible, life-changing work for our communities.”
Foundation of Light Chief Executive, Lesley Spuhler, added: “The Gala Awards Dinner is always a very special occasion for us, and welcoming a world-class act like Frankie & The Dreamers adds extra excitement.
“It is the highlight event of our year, a night where we come together to celebrate some truly inspirational people who have had life-changing outcomes from the Foundation of Light’s programmes.”
As well as first-class entertainment, guests will enjoy a drinks reception and a three-course dinner.
