Free Women and Girls Coaches Clinic

Sunderland and Gateshead Regional Talent Club Technical Director Claire Robinson will deliver a workshop at the inaugural Women and Girls Football (WGF) Grassroots Coaches Clinic later this month. The FREE Licensed Coaches Club event (accredited to Level 1 and Level 2) is hosted by Northumberland FA and Northumbria University and is open to all coaches who are involved or have an interest in women and girls football. Taking place at the University's High Performance Centre (NE7 7XA) on Monday 30th April (6pm-9pm) the WGF Coaches Clinic focuses on 'Insight into Planning and Practice' and continues a collaborative approach to drive forward coaching standards within the game. Regional Talent Club Technical Director Claire Robinson will lead a 'Planning and Design' practical session with the Clubs' Under 14 squad focusing on the methods used in planning training programmes with focus.

The Women and Girls Coaches Clinic is a great opportunity to showcase the Foundation's Player Pathway and to inspire coaches from all levels who have an interest or who are involved in the women's game. Planning is a fundamental element within the Coaching Process and this will be the focus in the night.

Sunderland and Gateshead Regional Talent Club will be holding its Open Trials at the world-class Beacon of Light this summer giving young players access to state of the art facilities including the state of the art 4G roof-level football barn, with the second phase hosted by partner Gateshead College at its world-renowned Academy for Sport. Held each year, the trials are a perfect opportunity for players to showcase their skills and secure a place in the RTC’s Under 10, Under 12, Under 14 and Under 16 squads.
