Sunderland AFC supporters will have more chances to win a grand in their hand at the Stadium of Light this season.
The Black Cats' EFL Championship clash with Derby County this evening (KO 7.45pm) sees the return of the Foundation's match day lottery, and with 23 home league fixtures the club's official charity will be giving away an amazing £23,000 this season.
Tickets for Grand in Your Hand cost just £1 and are available from sellers located around the Stadium with the winning ticket being drawn at half time.
Jemma Garrett, Foundation of Light's Events Manager said: "Our Grand in Your Hand lottery is an easy way for SAFC fans to support the Foundation's work in the community and win £1,000 at every home league game.
"Look out for our agents around the Stadium's concourses wearing hi-vis vests who will be selling tickets up until kick off."
Structurally and financially independent of Sunderland AFC, the Foundation of Light relies on fundraising initiatives like ‘Grand in your Hand’ to change the lives of thousands of families, children and adults every year through the Foundation's sports, health, education and employability programmes.
Please note: The prize of £1,000 will be provided in the form of a cheque. To claim the prize on match-day, you must have a valid photo ID and take your winning ticket into the Stadium of Light's main reception no later than 15 minutes after the final whistle.
Alternatively, please call Foundation of Light on 0191 5515191 to arrange collection. All prizes must be claimed within three months of the draw.
