Help us celebrate World Book Day 2018
Foundation of Light is proud to once again support World Book Day and is calling on youngsters across the North East to bring their favourite characters to life. World Book Day is a celebration of authors, illustrators, books and (most importantly) it’s a celebration of reading which is marked in over 100 countries all over the world. This Thursday (1st March) is the 21st anniversary of the event with children of all ages will come together to appreciate reading. It's all about getting kids closer to the books and authors they already love, and letting them discover more books and authors they’ll love every bit as much in the future. With the snow closing many schools throughout the region and putting their World Book Day events on the shelf, the Foundation is giving parents and children the chance to be part of the worldwide celebration of books and reading. So whether you're dressing up as your favourite character, sharing your favourite book or enjoying a snow day by snuggling up with your family read a story together, tag @SAFCFoL on Twitter, Foundation of Light on Facebook or foundationoflight on Instagram in your photos and videos and we'll pick our favourites. Don't forget to look out for downloadable resource packs at worldbookday.com which is full of exciting and fun resources based on favourite books, brands, characters and authors.
