Foundation CEO attends Ministry of Defence ceremony to pick up gold award
Foundation of Light Chief Executive, Lesley Spuhler, attended a special ceremony in York to pick up a Ministry of Defence award on behalf of the Foundation of Light.
Foundation of Light are supporting the Sunderland community this Christmas through the ‘Wear One for Everyone’ campaign, partnering with other charities – Love Amelia and Sunderland Foodbank – to amplify their campaigns.
Here’s some of the ways you can get involved to help Sunderland AFC’s official charity make a difference to your community:
The Beacon of Light will serve as a drop off point for donations of some of the most-needed items for struggling families over the Christmas period.
Essential items include warm winter clothing, toiletries, and children’s toys and books to serve as Christmas gifts.
The Beacon will continue to serve as a collection point for Sunderland Foodbank, with non-perishable food items also in demand.
As part of the Wear One for Everyone, the Foundation is also supporting Love Amelia’s Toy Appeal campaign.
Love Amelia have a Gift Tag Tree in the reception area at the Beacon of Light. To get involved, simply take a tag from the tree and buy a gift for the recipient of the tag.
This will support children from less fortunate families to still receive gifts this Christmas.
