Foundation CEO attends Ministry of Defence ceremony to pick up gold award
Foundation of Light Chief Executive, Lesley Spuhler, attended a special ceremony in York to pick up a Ministry of Defence award on behalf of the Foundation of Light.
Foundation of Light are encouraging the people of Sunderland to quit smoking for good this No Smoking Day, Wednesday 12 March.
There is plenty of local free support available to smokers in Sunderland who want to give quitting a go.
Foundation of Light recently launched new Stop Smoking Workshops at the Beacon of Light, which provide support and advice about quitting followed by health and fitness activities.
You can get information about how to quit and what help is available in a supportive environment, as well as support to help improve your overall physical and mental health.

Foundation of Light also partners with Sunderland Specialist Stop Smoking Service where smokers can get expert support to quit, and can now take part in the ‘Swap to Stop’ initiative.
Set a quit date with their specialists and you can receive a free vape alongside 12 weeks of 1-2-1 support.
