More than 400 runners of all ages got their running shoes on for one of the North East’s most unique challenge events.
The 10k race was won by Sunderland Harriers' Oliver James with a time of 33.40m while Sunderland Strollers' Aly Dixon was highest placed female with 38.51m.
All proceeds from the event, which is organised by Foundation of Light, will be used to help fund the charity’s wide range of sport and education-based programmes which benefit young people and families across the North East.
