Going back to the start, how did the foundation of Richard Reed come about?
Richard Reed himself establishing the business back in 1948, he recognised a need for a legal firm that not only possessed expert legal knowledge but was also personable and approachable. This vision drove the creation of our firm, where we have consistently focused on combining professional excellence with a friendly, down-to-earth approach, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our clients from the very beginning.
What would you say are the core values that guide your company’s decisions?

Since the new ownership in 2017, Richard Reed Solicitors has experienced significant growth and a renewed sense of purpose within the Sunderland community that we are particularly proud of. With our dynamic and forward-thinking leadership team in place, we are taking the firm to new heights, with many exciting plans for growth ahead. We have expanded our team, diversified our services, and strengthened our commitment to supporting the local community.
How did your partnership with the Foundation of Light come about?
Our partnership with the Foundation of Light emerged from a shared commitment to positively impact the Sunderland community. Recognising the Foundation's dedication to education, sports, and personal development, we saw a natural alignment with our own values and community-focused initiatives. By becoming a partner, we aimed to support and amplify their efforts in creating opportunities for local residents, particularly the youth. This collaboration allows us to extend our community engagement, contributing to programs that inspire, educate, and empower individuals, to help drive meaningful change and development in the lives of our region.
