MESSAGE FROM OUR MANAGING DIRECTOR

MESSAGE FROM OUR MANAGING DIRECTOR
I wanted to send you all a message to check you are all ok and to say that all of the coaches are missing seeing you at training each week, we've all realised over this period how lucky we are to be able to coach players like you and as part of the Foundation of Light family we can't wait to get back out there with you when it it's safe to do so. I hope you've enjoyed spending time at home with your families over the past 10 weeks - I know from my own experience I’ve enjoyed spending more time than I usually do with my children and I’ve learnt a lot from them whilst helping them do their school work at home. Although lockdown is easing and the restrictions are allowing us to return to physical activity in small groups we're not quite ready to reopen the doors to the Beacon of Light or any other centres just yet but we are planning for returning as soon as it is safe to do so. We hope to be back delivering one to one sessions in July and our coaches are pulling together an exciting plan for August when we hope to deliver our holiday courses at the Beacon. We're hoping and planning for Little Dribblers, Little Skills and Gameplay players to return in September. Players Development Centre, Foundation Community Club and Regional Talent Centre club staff have also been meeting weekly via zoom to make improvements to our coaching curriculums ready for restarting so once we are able to do so, we'll be back with a bang. The Football Scholarship and Coaches academy team are also planning an exciting pre-season programme for all the players and coaches signed up to next years post 16 programmes which are on course to have record numbers for the 2020-21 season. The Foundation of Light has so many great initiatives for all the family to get involved in - including our Family Learning courses which are great for all the family to get involved in. For more information please contact Linda.Hughes@foundationoflight.co.uk In the meantime, keep your eyes on our social media pages for our updates, keep practicing in your back garden/yard/local park or even in your front room (if your parents allow you) try to learn something new every day, do something nice for a family member or friend like give them a call rather than a text, hoover the house for your parents or bake a cake. We very much look forward to seeing you in the near future.
