Only chance to own Sunderland AFC match-worn home shirts from Premier League return season

Sunderland AFC supporters are being given the chance to own a match-worn home shirt from the club’s Premier League return season, while raising funds for the Foundation of Light.

Shirts from the Black Cats’ home game against Brighton & Hove Albion are now available via auction - the only opportunity this season to secure a match-worn home shirt.

The fixture marked Foundation of Light Matchday, a special occasion celebrating the life-changing work of Sunderland AFC’s official charity.

As a result, this is the first chance for supporters to get their hands on home shirts worn by captain Granit Xhaka, as well as Premier League shirts from Dan Ballard, Trai Hume, and Luke O’Nien.

It is also the only opportunity to own the white-backed player-issue home shirts. Unlike retail versions, which feature full stripes on the back, Premier League regulations mean a different design for the players, making these editions even more unique.

In addition to signed match-worn and match-issued shirts from all players involved, the auction also includes two squad-signed shirts and the special-edition Foundation of Light warm-up shirts worn by the full team.

All funds raised by the auction will be donated to the Foundation of Light, helping towards their mission to inspire, educate and support people of all ages across the North East.

In the past year, Foundation of Light has delivered 600,000 hours of learning and helped 500 people into employment.
