Heroes Week: How military veterans impact communities at Foundation of Light

Patrick Hair, Assistant Head Teacher at Mill Hill Primary SchoolPupils from Mill Hill Primary School and Coxhoe Primary School attended the event at the Beacon of Light, the state-of-the-art new home of SAFC charity Foundation of Light. Danielle Lane, Premier League Primary Stars Education Coordinator for the Foundation of Light added: “All of the pupils have worked really hard throughout the 10-week programme. Every presentation was creative and I would like to thank all the schools for attending today.” The winners were ‘Savanna Shoes’ from Mill Hill Primary School who wowed the judges with their design and features. Samson’s Shoes is part of the Foundation of Light’s portfolio of programmes for Primary Schools that are available across Sunderland, County Durham and South Tyneside.
