Foundation of Light introduces transformational place-based football academy at Consett AFC
The pioneering academy, based at the football club’s Belle View Stadium, aims to remove long-standing barriers to education and high-performance coaching.
Foundation of Light would like to share a Safeguarding Awareness course for parents and carers on behalf of the FA.
This is a FREE course, which lasts approximately 25-30 minutes, aimed at anyone 16 and over.
The course will benefit you and your child, giving you the tools and information to recognise what should be in place to support your child, to have a positive football experience in their club or club setting. It will also give you the knowledge on how to identify and report any concerns about poor practice or abuse.
About the course
The FA is committed to safeguarding children across the game in England. From ensuring best practice and recognising poor practice to understanding how to report concerns quickly and effectively.
The course is designed to help you to make an informed choice about the football setting you enrol your child in.
Upon completion of the course, you’ll receive a safeguarding certificate that will appear on your FAN account. You can return to the course to refresh your knowledge at any time.
