Scholarship partners with AA Sports Centre

Our Shildon Scholars have been able to continue training throughout the winter thanks to the support of the Alun Armstrong Sports Centre in Shildon. With snow and frost making outdoor sessions difficult, the AA Sports Centre stepped in, giving the Scholars access to their first-class facilities, ensuring they didn't miss out on their development. The indoor 3g pitches and gym ensured the players maintained their fitness as well as helping with strength and conditioning and injury rehabilitation.

We would like to thank everyone at the Alun Armstrong Centre for allowing us to use their facilities, especially with the bad snow. Without their help, our players would have found it very difficult to remain active or recover from injuries, but we have been able to do this without disruption. The partnership with the Alun Armstrong Centre is a great opportunity for the Foundation to strengthen its community links in Shildon and the surrounding area."
