Wear 25: Young footballer Maizie recognised for personal growth
Budding footballer Maizie Lou Stamp has been recognised as one of the Foundation of Light’s Wear 25 winners for January for her progress within the female football pathway.
Sunderland AFC’s official charity is bringing supporters the chance to win money can’t buy prizes ahead of Christmas.
The ’12 Days of Christmas’ prize draws are running across the first 12 days of December in support of the Together Through Sport campaign.
Supporters can enter via Crowdfunder where they can buy entries to each draw through a donation to the Foundation of Light, starting with either £3 or £5 for one draw entry.
Bigger donations will give you more entries and a greater chance of winning the random draw, but it only takes one name in the hat to give yourself an opportunity.
Prizes this time include a mascot place for Sunderland AFC’s match against Brighton and Hove Albion, a squad signed Sunderland AFC Ball, and a chance to play EA FC with a Black Cats player.
The Together Through Sport campaign has seen major sports foundations across the North East collaborate alongside North East Housing Partnership to make sure every child gets the chance to play, grow and thrive.
Funds raised throughout the campaign will create free places on holiday programmes and support free sports sessions in schools, ensuring no child is left on the sidelines.
