David played his part...and won
Black Cats fan, David was our first cash winner of our new Ha’way and Play lottery, when the lads took on Portsmouth at home on Saturday. David from County Durham won £1,000 and regularly purchased a lottery ticket at the Stadium of Light when it was Grand in Your Hand. “I was shocked when I heard I won” said David. “I used to regularly purchase a lottery ticket, but sadly never won.  When I heard it was moving online, I thought I would play along and show my support (to the charity) at the same time.”
It was quick and easy to purchase tickets
The jackpot wasn’t won on Saturday and will roll over to Ipswich on 3rd November, with £5,000 up for grabs. The Ha’way and Play lottery offers more ways to play, more prizes to win and it’s a great way to support the football club’s official charity. The revamped matchday lottery comes following fan feedback, where we asked supporters their thoughts and how they would like it to work. Ha’way and Play Lottery:
  • Buy tickets online at hawayandplay.com
  • Tickets start at £5 with five chances to win
  • Proceeds are split 50-50 between prize pots and supporting the Foundation of Light
  • Bonus chance of winning with a rollover jackpot each week
  • Draw made during second half of each SAFC home game
  • Winning number will be posted online, in the matchday programme and all entrants receive an email
Ha’way and Play will also offer opportunities to win additional prizes over the course of the season, including signed merchandise, mini-breaks and SAFC experiences. Fans can purchase tickets online in advance of each SAFC home game and up until half time.  Once we return to the Stadium of Light, there will be sellers located in and around the ground that you can buy tickets from.
