Doing Friday afternoons Wright

Doing Friday afternoons Wright
The son of SAFC legend Arthur Wright is joining forces with the Foundation of Light to support fans in overcoming social isolation as a result of COVID-19. Billy Wright will be a regular guest on the football club official charity’s online Tackling Loneliness Together sessions, each Friday 1-3pm. Billy’s father was former Black Cats midfielder Arthur Wright, who made 281 appearances for the Lads and spent his entire career on Wearside. Billy will share his stories and extensive collection of memorabilia from his Dad’s time with SAFC - when football was very different to today’s game! The Tackling Loneliness Together programme is funded by the DCMS and delivered in partnership with the EFL Trust. It offers the opportunity for people to reconnect after lockdown through telephone calls, face to face garden gate visits or the online sessions. Equipment is also available to help people get online, including tablets with WiFi. Get more information here or call 0191 563 4777 Register for Friday sessions >>>
