Herrington WI chose Sunderland AFC’s official charity to be a beneficiary of their annual charity coffee morning in August.
Members paid an entry fee allowing them to enjoy a morning of socialising, activities, and fundraising. Further proceeds were raised via a tombola raffle, bake sale, and stalls selling handmade crafts such as bird boxes and decorated plant pots.
Entry fees and monies raised from the fundraising activities were given back to the community via charitable donations.

Sarah Coyne, Adult Skills Lead at the Foundation of Light, attended the coffee morning, and appreciated the support of the Herrington group.
“We are very grateful for the generous donation from Herrington WI,” Sarah said.
“Their support is instrumental in helping us continue our work and make a positive impact in our community.”
