INFO EVENING GOES VIRTUAL
Lockdown won’t stop our programmes from recruiting, with this month’s information evening for scholarship programmes moving to online. The virtual setting will take place on Thursday 23rd April 6-7.30pm via online platform Zoom.  The evening will provide details for Football (male and female), Futsal and Netball Scholarships and for any aspiring coaches Coaches Academy. The Foundation’s scholarship programmes gives talented 16-18 year olds the opportunity to represent Sunderland and gain nationally recognised qualifications through an extensive sport and education programme. Andy Grant, Head of Education said: “With the ongoing threat of COVID-19, we have had to switch to hosting the information evening online.   We continue to adapt and give prospective learners the opportunity to find out more and ask any questions.
We are extremely proud of the reputation our scholarship programmes have created not only regionally and nationally but internationally with some going onto America to continue their scholarship journey.
Coaches Academy blends education with practical experience to help you gain a career as a sports coach. The flexible programme covers all sports not just football, allowing participants to develop specialist skills and additional qualifications. Scholarships and Coaches Academy are two-year programmes.
You can view further information about the scholarships and Coaches Academy courses online.  Registration is required, once registered you will be contacted with log on details.
