Former Lioness Jill Scott is challenging supporters to take on the Foundation of Light’s 25 Peaks in 25 Hours challenge.
A Foundation of Light trustee, Jill is no stranger to new challenges. Since retiring from football, she has embarked on a punditry career and was crowned winner of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!, and is now urging supporters to “make this a 25th anniversary to remember.”
The 25 Peaks in 25 Hours Challenge is the major fundraising challenge for the 25th anniversary year of Sunderland AFC’s official charity.
Across two days you’ll take on 25 classic summits, covering 40km+ and climbing more than 4,262 metres, higher than Mt Toubkal. The route weaves over rugged ridgelines and rocky ascents, including Helvellyn, Great Gable and Scafell Pike, giving you some of the most striking mountain views in England.
But this isn’t just about peaks and personal achievement, it’s about impact. The funds you raise through this challenge help the Foundation of Light continue and grow vital programmes across the North East that use the power of football and sport to tackle real community issues, from health and wellbeing to education, confidence and opportunity for thousands each year.
With a celebration dinner waiting at the finish, this is more than a challenge. It’s a landmark year and an opportunity to be part of something that will help make a tangible difference.
