Fantastic February at the Foundation of Light
2026 is a big year for the Foundation of Light and it showed no signs of slowing down in February.
Sunderland AFC Chairman Kyril Louis-Dreyfus has joined the Board of Trustees at the Foundation of Light.
Mr Louis-Dreyfus has taken on the role with the club's official charity after an invite from former Black Cats Chairman Sir Bob Murray.
He joins an ever-growing list of household names already on the Board of Trustees, alongside Chair Sir Bob Murray, including Kate Adie, George Clarke, Steve Cram, The Rt Hon The Baroness Estelle Morris of Yardley, Colonel The Hon James Ramsbotham, Sir Tim Rice, Martin Hibbert and Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson.
Mr Louis-Dreyfus said: “I am honoured to have been named on the Foundation of Light’s Board of Trustees and I would like to thank Sir Bob Murray for this kind invitation.
“Throughout my time as Chairman of Sunderland AFC, I have recognised the immense importance of the Foundation of Light - not only to the Club, but to the region. It is more important than ever to work side by side to support our community and I look forward to joining the Foundation in that endeavour."

Foundation of Light was established in 2001 by Sir Bob Murray. It uses the power of football to tackle the North East's biggest societal challenges, helping our communities to live happier and healthier lives, vital funds are being raised via the Small Change Big Difference Campaign to support families struggling with the cost-of-living crisis.
