National Careers Week
Foundation of Light is backing National Careers Week (1st – 6th March) and sharing the journey of five established people with discussions focusing on their job role, their education and the pathways from school into the world of work. During this week, Foundation of Light’s Secondary Education Coordinator, Jas, will be chatting to people within different roles to gain an insight into their career and how they started. Taking part in the discussions is Abdul Yusuf, Club Assurance Consultant at the Premier League, Paul Wright, Support Services and Finance Director at the Foundation of Light, Claire Molyneux, Games Programme Manager at the Premier League, Neil Saunders, Head of Youth at the Premier League and Bailey Wright, Defender at Sunderland AFC. Jas said: “There are so many opportunities out there for young people and it is our job, during National Career Week, to showcase the variety of roles that people can aim for. We hope that by hearing from a number of highly engaging individuals about their transition from education to work will inspire and motivate the students to be proactive and positive in the pathway to their dream jobs.” Foundation of Light offer a range of programmes to people aged 16+  who are currently not in employment, education or training.
