Foundation of Light has recognised Isla Cameron as one of its Wear 25 award winners, following her call-up to the England U13s Deaf Futsal team.
NCS summer scheme set to kick-off
As the UK emerges from lockdown, the Foundation of Light is looking to engage youngsters through the NCS ‘Keep Doing Good’ programme.
From national organisations to local food banks, charities to corner shops, neighbours to care homes - a little more help is needed to get back to whatever ‘normal’ is going to be.
Our staff have pulled together a range of activities and volunteering opportunities for the latest group of NCS participants as they look to help the city of Sunderland get back to business.
Throughout August, youngsters will set up a social action project and learn new skills as they hope to have a positive impact on the local community.
