Over 200 people attend conference on men's mental health with Game of II Halves
Foundation of Light’s Game of II Halves conference attracted over 200 people to join a discussion on the men’s mental health epidemic.
‘Coventry City at home’. Those were the words echoed by BBC’s Jeff Brown as 120 Foundation and Sunderland AFC corporate supporters attended the Beacon of Light for Foundation of Light’s Fixtures Breakfast event.
Black Cats boss Alex Neil joined Kristjaan Speakman, Steve Davison and Gary Bennett on the panel as we found out the club’s fixtures for the upcoming 2022-23 Championship campaign, with Sunderland to take on the Sky Blues on the opening weekend of the season.
Guests were treated to a Q & A session from the panel, who reminisced about the playoff win at Wembley and looked ahead towards the new season.
Foundation of Light CEO Lesley Spuhler OBE shared her thoughts on what is always an incredibly important day in the Foundation calendar. She said: “Fixtures Breakfast is an event we all look forward to. It gives us an opportunity to showcase our incredible community hub in the Beacon of Light and it also allows us to all come together to celebrate Sunderland AFC.
“The last few years have been difficult for our supporters; however, Alex and the lads have done a great job, got us back into the Championship and now everyone is excited for the new season to begin."
Foundation of Light would like to say thank you to all of our corporate partners for your ongoing support. We would also like to express our appreciation to Aspire Technology Solutions who continue to sponsor this event.
