Summer camp success stories

Summer camp success stories
Throughout the school holidays, youngsters in Spennymoor have been enjoying activities at the Foundation of Light’s summer camps, ran in partnership with Livin and Junction 7. The camps have provided activities for harder to reach children and given them the opportunity to join in a variation of different sports. Ten children from Silverdale regularly attended sessions, with 30 youngsters joining in sports and arts and crafts classes at Spennymoor Youth and Community Association and Tudhoe Community Centre partnership project Community Development Worker Michael Fishwick is delighted with the progress the project has made over the last six weeks: “Foundation staff have been excellent. The feedback from the parents on how the kids are enjoying the sessions is very good.”
