Sunderland AFC prizes up for grabs as Foundation launches festive prize draws

Foundation of Light will be giving supporters the opportunity to win some fantastic Sunderland AFC prizes and signed memorabilia over the festive countdown.

We will be running a range of draws including an 'Advent Calendar' of signed prints and a '12 Days of Christmas' series of prize draws with all proceeds supporting our 'Heart on your Sleeve' campaign.

With some great collector’s items - or fantastic Christmas gifts for your SAFC supporting loved ones - amongst the prizes, here is all the information on how to take part in the draws:

12 Days of Christmas

Our 12 Days of Christmas prize draws will run until Tuesday 12 December and feature signed memorabilia and Sunderland AFC experiences as prizes.

The prize for the first day was a pair of signed Anthony Patterson goalkeeper gloves, with other prizes including a retro signed bundle featuring a Kevin Ball print and a Kevin Phillips shirt, a mascot place for a Sunderland AFC game, and a personalised video message from Luke O'Nien.

Our 12 Days of Christmas draws will run through Crowdfunder where you can make a donation which will give you a specified number of entries into the draw.

The draw for all prizes will be made on Wednesday 13 December. Head to the 12 Days of Christmas page on our website for links to all of the prize draws: Click Here

Advent Calendar

Each day of advent, a signed print of a different Sunderland AFC player will be up for grabs with supporters able to enter via text with a small donation.

Anthony Patterson features on the print for 1 December, keep an eye out on our social media platforms every day to see which player features.

Each day you will need to enter separately. To enter the draw, supporters need to fill out the following form:

Heart on your Sleeve

Our festive draws will support the Foundation's delivery of ‘Heart on your Sleeve’, and below is how your money can help:

  • £5 would pay for a young person with a disability access to a sports session
  • £8 pays for an older person to attend activities to stay socially active and improve physical and mental wellbeing
  • £40 will pay for a young person to have access to sessions supporting their physical, mental, and emotional health
  • £100 allows us to develop mental health resources to support up to five people

Recent studies have shown that health inequalities in the UK are getting worse, with the gap between the North East and the South of England worsening.

People in communities across our region are living shorter lives; spending most of them in poor health.

Foundation of Light works with up to 20,000 young people and families every year and aim to tackle these issues, encouraging parents and grandparents to stay both physically and mentally active to inspire the next generation to do the same.
