Over 200 people attend conference on men's mental health with Game of II Halves
Foundation of Light’s Game of II Halves conference attracted over 200 people to join a discussion on the men’s mental health epidemic.
Youngsters are taking action to help clean up their community thanks to Foundation of Light’s partnership with two local businesses.
The Seaburn Inn and The Stack Seaburn have boosted the Foundation of Light’s youth engagement programmes with a donation that will benefit the whole city.
Members of the Foundation’s YOLO and Premier League Kicks schemes took part in a litter pick to help clean up Sunderland seafront.
The programmes engage youngsters in a number of intervention activities and thanks to the support of The Seaburn Inn and The Stack Seaburn, the latest social action project has been a great success.
Scores of youngsters got involved in the big clean up and as a reward for their efforts, they enjoyed a meal courtesy of The Stack Seaburn.
Gemma Dishman, a representative of the Stack said: “We’re delighted to be supporting Foundation of Light’s youth engagement programmes and have the opportunity to give something back to the young people in our community.
“It’s really important to the Stack to play a positive role in the wider community and the big clean up not only benefited the residents of Seaburn but also our independent businesses.”
