Youngsters set lockdown target to support Foundation
FIT for FoL aims to help people focus on the year ahead, get fit for 2021 and raise vital funds for the football club’s official charity. Youngsters on the Foundation of Light’s football programme came up with the idea after no longer being able to attend their training or football sessions, instead they are channelling their energy into raising money for a cause close to their hearts. Foundation of Light is encouraging kids, parents – everyone, to run, walk or cycle 20 miles during lockdown and donate £20 to help them continue to be able to give local children access to sport and football. Join the Fit for FoL Facebook group >>> Members of the Foundation’s Player Development Centre and Community Clubs have already started clocking up the miles, with a number of coaches and staff joining in too and they’ve set themselves an overall target of £2,021. We all know 2020 was plenty, it’s time to put your best foot – or wheel – forward and stay active during lockdown in the name of charity. If you would like to join in you can share your progress in our special FIT for FoL Facebook group and then make any donations via JustGiving.
