Foundation launches new five-year strategy at ‘Brighter Tomorrow’ breakfast
Foundation of Light has officially launched its new five-year strategy at a high-profile business breakfast at the Beacon of Light.
Over 100 daredevil fundraisers have signed up to ride a zip line from the roof of the Stadium of Light over the River Wear this weekend in aid of North East charity Foundation of Light.
Taking place on Sunday 8th October, participants will zip from the roof of the home of Sunderland AFC, travelling around 250 metres at speeds of up to 25mph, landing on the other side of the River Wear at Liebherr Sunderland Works.
We're delighted by the response to Zip Wear and are looking forward to a very exciting event on Sunday. Thank you to Sunderland AFC and Liebherr who have made this event possible, and all of the fantastic fundraisers who have made the pledge!

Proceeds from the event will support community education, health and skills programmes run by Black Cats’ charity Foundation of Light.
Financially independent of the football club, the Foundation relies upon fundraising to be able to help 1,000s of local people every week.
A very limited number of places are available for the event at just £120 each which MUST be paid in advance.
Spaces are limited and those interested in taking part should contact chloe.morris@foundationoflight.co.uk or call 0191 551 5191. Participants must be aged 12 or over to take part and height and weight restrictions will apply.
